How Does the Huawei FreeLace feel?

Save for the integrated USB-C plug, it’s just like using any pair of neckband earbuds. Let’s start with the novel: Huawei HiPair technology is neat. Although it is convenient to be able plug-and-pair your headset, the real benefit lies in being able charge your FreeLace using your phone. You don’t need to have a Huawei phone for this, unlike HiPair.

The neckband on the right is detached from the earbud cable, revealing a USB-C connector. This section is marked with an encompassing red line. It takes just enough force to separate the pieces, so I was not concerned about any accidental separation. The three-button mic/remote module is located just north of the red painted line. Here, the volume rockers are slightly higher than the multifunction button. This makes it simple to use despite its sleek metal exterior. If you’re familiar with the BeatsX, then you’ll feel at home with the FreeLace memory cable connecting the earbuds. The non-slip material makes it lightweight and comfortable. The nodes on my neck are slightly too long and overlap.

Lead of Ergonomic

FreeLace is following the lead of ergonomic earbuds with angled nozzles. The silicone tips on the earbuds are extremely slippery, so they don’t fit well. It would be much easier to catch salmon with your naked hands than to keep these in place while you move. Although I swapped the medium ear tips out for larger ones, the earbuds fell from my ears while I walked from my apartment and to my car. The magnetic housings are very reliable and can automatically play or resume music when they are separated and combined.

Mic Eminence

Microphone quality is excellent. The mic noise cancellation technology reduces background noise. However, this is counteracted by the fact that the microphone rubs against clothing and causes a distracting whoosh to be transmitted to the person on the other end.
